Our Rio Verde micro-lot is grown in the region of the Guerrero state in Mexico, which is unique for it's elevation, customs, and environmental activists. This community arose from the displacement of a guerilla family, the Familia Bernardino Adame, led by Lucio Cabanas, a social activist and defender of nature in the Guerrero jungle. This leader fled with his wife to the depths of the jungle to find what is now Rio Verde. Here, hunting, logging, burning, and using chemical products to cultivate the land are all prohibited.
Bourbon, Geisha, Typica, and Costa Rica 95 varieties of organic beans are used to make up this delightful blend. This fruity and nutty roast boasts flavors of blueberries, almonds, and caramel.
